About Us

We believe that leadership in schools is a uniquely challenging activity. School governors and head teachers operate in a large and complex stakeholder community that includes staff, pupils, parents, local authorities, inspectors and national government. Providing leadership in this environment is not straightforward.

Our founders have combined their experience of school governance, management best practice and technology expertise to provide tools that support school leaders in their work. Our premise is that leadership is based on effective communication and collaboration between leaders and stakeholders. We believe that information technology - if it is properly conceived - can play a vital part in facilitating the leadership process. School Leadership Systems was created to apply the latest and best thinking on effective leadership and collaborative technology into the schools environment.

We have worked with governing bodies from a wide range of schools to implement Governors Virtual Office. Schools that use our system span the spectrum from large secondaries to small primaries, and include both state and independent schools.
